  • The trail can be ridden with any bike, as long as the tyre size is a minimum of 45 mm, and you also have smaller gears. Experienced riders can, however, get away with a little smaller tires too.
  • In the Vaasa region, the cycling season typically runs from May through early November, though dry and sunny weather can now occur year-round. The warmest months are June, July and August, with average daytime temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius and nighttime temperatures often staying above 10 degrees.
  • The route has only digital navigation.

  • The route starts and ends at Top Camping Vaasa, which is easily accessible by bike or car. There is a dedicated cycling path from the city centre to Vasklot. Some parking plots are available near the camping area.
This 24 km cycling route is perfect for the whole family. the route takes you from Top Camping Vaasa through Palosaari and Isolahti to Västervik, where Strömsö is located. Along the way, you can visit the Vaasa Maritime Museum, cool off at the beaches and enjoy the beautiful nature. The villa known from the TV show Strömsö is a popular stop offering guided tours.

On the way back, the route passes Gerby Hill with its observation tower and exercise stairs, as well as the playground and activity park at Onkilahti. Along the route, there are also other attractions and activities like mini golf, a water park and museums, making this trip both varied and easily accessible.
